Andress frankly comes across as boring in this film to me. The reason she succeeded in "Dr. No" is because her role was limited and allowed us to focus on her presence as a dividend to an interesting film. But she was totally incapable of holding attention as a focal point.

I think you both are right ... yes, Rosenda is the much more alluring girl. But Andress' "She" was never meant to be "sexy" in the convenient sense, the whole make-up / costume / light angle was as to put Ursula in as otherworldly a position as possible, and they succeeded remarkably well given the limited budget. The one is an image, the other is flesh and blood :)

I'm with you! Rosenda is much more mysterious and exotic- a perfect fit for a lost culture. Also, my preference for brunettes makes Rosenda more attractive in every way.
