Rage to Live - Poem

If my memory serves me right there was a quotation from a poem at the end of the film I think. Does anyone know the name of the poem and author

reply

The qoutation was;
Wise wretch!With pleasures too refin'd to please
With too much spirit to e'er be at ease
You purchase pain with all that joy can give
And die of nothing but a rage to live.

The poet was Alexander Pope and the poem was Epistle II,To Mrs.M Bounts.

Thanks a lot for the information. I have wondered about it for years. Something just brought it to mind recently.

Thanks again.
