R-rated?
I have not yet had the pleasure of seeing this movie, but i have a question.
Would this film be rated R if it were put out today?

Yes, I think it would be R-Rated if rated in the US today.
It is, after all, a dark story of a guy murdering his family members, with hints of incest and the constant presence of prostitutes, drinking, etc. .
Dark humor surrounding the deaths, too.
While not terribly explicit, I believe it would be Rated R.
Not 'X' or 'NC-17', but just 'R'.
That is the US rating, which simply requires that parents accompany children to the film, unlike the UK 'R18', which I believe prohibits children altogether.
