This enjoyably inane piece of chintzy low-budget Italian sci-fi piffle has recently been issued on DVD by Dark Sky Films. It's available in a nice widescreen print on a funky doublebill with the offbeat and intriguing sci-fi post-nuke oddity "The Creation of the Humanoids."
I just bought it, just watched it and just posted the FIRST bit of trivia in the GOOFS section!
They made NO attempt at all to hide the wires in this film and during the space walk, I had to give a cheer to the costume designer to actually worked the flying harnesses into the design of the space suits.
In the scene immediately following the failed rescue attempt, where the lead actor has his shirt off and appears to be strapped up in a funky-looking leather girdle ---that's the flying harness! You can even see the metal loops where the wires attach.
"If you don't know the answer -change the question."
I thought this was true, too, for a moment. Then I remembered that they were all tethered to the ship by wires and I think those are the wires we are seeing.
