Couldn't get into this one, really enjoyed the ending, but for large parts I just couldn't enjoy it. I guess I'm not really into westerns, I only watched it because Clint Eastwood was in it, I decided to watch all/most of his films. Didn't enjoy the first film of this trilogy either.

Oh well....sorry. It is somewhat slowly paced; but that's part of the appeal for me. It gives me a chance to follow the plot, hate the obvious villains, feel empathy for the victims, agonize for the good guys and celebrate the bad a$$ that eventually takes the bad ones out. The Clint Eastwood/Lee Van Cleef trilogy makes you wait for the climax, and I Love It! I enjoy the time it takes to build and complete the story and it gives me my money's worth. Nothing I hate worse than a '60 second man'....so to speak!!

I love westerns and found it too slow for my taste. It's always surprised me how highly rated this is on IMDB. I like it but don't love it. 7/10.

Maybe you're somewhat younger than generations like myself who were able to see this in the theatres during it's initial release back in the 60's. It's highly rated partly because...we watched Clint Eastwood, evolve from a TV western star in 'Rawhide'; into a MOTION PICTURE star in a new stylized "shoot em up" that we had never seen before. But to each his own. Again...I prefer a 'man with a slow hand,' or a 'man who can slow walk me down'.....Lol....and an easy paced nugget like this to go with it!
