Why was the dying old man mad at Nazzeman

I know he was upset at his relation with his daughter, but I got the distinct impression he thought there was something fishy about Nazzeman surviving the holocaust. For a short time I wondered if he had been a Nazi collaborator in the camp.

No, I think it was just about his daughter having sexual relations with another man when she should have been spending the rest of her life mourning her dead husband and staying celibate.

The old man is played by director Sidney Lumet's father, Baruch Lumet
