Opening credits + music rip off 'To Kill a Mockingbird'
Shameless, really.
shareI missed the opening credits, but the music...wow!
I kept thinking, "I know that music." and it finally came to me.
I thought the same thing, though I did enjoy it.
shareThe OP is wrong, and then the next two posters are gullible. Don't accommodate trolls.
The opening title music for these two films are distinctly different melodies. Each features an upper-register piano melody and eventually includes gentle harmonies on strings -- but PATCH OF BLUE is not plagiarism of MOCKINGBIRD.
Anyone who heard these pieces of music back-to-back would realize that.
Most great films deserve a more appreciative audience than they get.
The lovely unique title song "A Patch of Blue" is played in the opening and throughout. It has nothing to do with To Kill a Mockingbird.
shareI watched this again last night, and am revisiting the message board. How dare you call me gullible - the music merely reminded me of TKAM - nothing more. I feel like insulting you I'm so mad, but am not going to sink to your level.

First of all, you're incorrect. Secondly, if that's the best that you can come up with, I can only assume that it must be really tough being you.
