Operation Crossbow wanted on DVD

Does anyone know how I can get Operation Crossbow on DVD? Or El Cid ?

Provided your player is compatible with zone 2(European DVD-players), you can order it from Norway or Sweden. If you are interested, I can supply you with the proper web link?!

Paul

Saw your post on IMBD about Operation Crossbow on DVD - if it's in Norwegian or Swedish I am assuming that there isn't an option for it in English? Otherwise it would be on sale in the UK? I don't think my Scandanavian could cope!

Can you provide a link? I really want to get this film on DVD and wasn't aware that it was available anywhere.

I would guess that it would feature an option to listen to the original English audio, right?

I can`t find an official version although as pointed out it does seem to be on TCM every day.The soundtrack, which never had a commercial release before, has even been released on cd so hopefully it shouldn`t be too long before MGM release the film.

If you`re desperate for an official digital version you`ll have to track down the old N.T.S.C. laserdisc which was incorrectly framed at 2.55:1. although there was a decent documentary if I remember.

I saw a VCD (video cd) out on ebay today. It's new in the package and the price keeps going up. It's a Warber Brothers Classic release but I did notice the seller is in Asia. So apparently there are some digital copies out there. I too would really like to find one, preferably on DVD.

The only thing to do is keep pestering MGM on their website-go to the contact page at the bottom & send them an email. If enough people do it they might just release it.

Both exist in French. Widely available.

I bought an edition issued in Thailand many years ago, over five year ago I think. It is widescreen and with English. Thai and French audio options 5.1. Amazingly it is a legitimate release in a series of older films and cost two or three dollars in baht equivalent. It is a sharp transfer. The distributor is listed as "Pacific Island Film."

Oh Lord, you gave them eyes but they cannot see...
