Those magnificant men .... Ron Goodwin composer

The composer wrote the score for Those Magnificent Men and Their Flying Machines around the same year. Some of the score sounds very similar, if not exactly the same. Anyone know the story about these two scores? Those Magnificent Men has the larger and more detailed score of the two.

Looks like Ron Goodwin has written the definitive scores for flying - Battle of Britain, 633 Squadraon (Mosquito Squadron) . Terrific composer! I wonder how much Sir William Walton actually wrote of the Battle of Britain score? Great music there too. Check out 633 Squadron for another terrific theme.

Walton scored the film first and all that remained is the aerial battle scene without sound effects.
