Connie Stevens is Scariest Housewife, Ever!

You have to see this movie if only to witness the madness of Lunch, as served with a vengeance to two men at the kitchen table, by Connie Stevens. She is so funny in this, as is Jim Hutton and especially Paul Ford, whose face is one of a kind.
I've been cooking 3 meals a day for 30 years and sometimes I have felt like
doing what she does. Makes me laugh out loud!
Love this Classic Comedy Gem

I'm seeing it now for the first time, and honestly, this is probably the funniest movie ever made. :)

By the way, I agree Connie Stevens was so funny as the housewife!

I've always loved Connie Stevens, but I think she usually underused in films. At least here she has a role that lives up her talent. What a wacky talent!

Remember those "Ace is the place with the helpful hardware man" commercials?

reply

I only know her from this one movie. I don't remember those commercials you mentioned. Were they from the seventies? I was born in 1976, so I don't remember the commercials from that time period.

Jim Hutton: talented gorgeous hot hunk; adorable as ElleryQueen; SEXIEST ACTOR EVER

Yes, those Ace Hardware commercials were airing before you were born, probably through the mid-'70s. Strangely enough, I can't seem to find them on YouTube. They featured Connie vamping it up in high heels and a dress in a hardware store, singing the praises of the "helpful hardware man." It was funny and slightly risque.

Well, she probably was a sex symbol at that time, wasn't she?

If you don't mind my asking...were you born in the sixties?
