One of the dumbest endings I've ever seen
One man is garroting another, while more than a half-dozen men look on. One of them has a scoped rifle, and does nothing. Good grief.

shareMy thoughts exactly! Like what was the matter with those cops? Just standing there when they could have solved that problem easy, but no. Stupid ending for sure.

I had similar thoughts. In addition, my thought when Harry through Gunther's diary in the ocean was, "You idiot. That would be a nice gift to the aunt, who kept up on the history of the family. With the mystery of Gunther's death still unsolved, Warner Brothers could have made a sequel -- or would that be a prequel?
shareNo there couldn't be a sequel or a prequel... I mean they must have wanted Troy to last as long as he could to keep his face on film...
man it was a cool flick but man it turned into a turd.... even Joeys crying which was rediculous... why would she care about that piece of *beep* after he almost ...ah I'm done, Im not even going to finish my thought

Sure, they had a guy with a scoped gun but if they shoot "Ben" in the back, the bullet could have gone through him and hit Harry. I thought the ending was kind of dumb because it has "Ben" dragging Julie towards a....factory on the beach. Once inside, there were so many points that Harry could have tackled "Ben" that I started laughing at how dumb it all was.
Not a bad movie, but Troy Donahue wasn't a very good actor --though the scenes with him just in a swimsuit are pretty interesting, hahaha-- it really needed someone who could be a little more suave in the beginning and more insane at the end. Nice shots of the California coast though.....
The movie as a whole was too much soap opera and not enough suspense.
