scared the Crap out of Me !!!

I saw This at a Movie Theater , when I was 6 or 7 ... I was particularly grossed-out by the Damage done to Some of the Main Characters' Bodies/Faces by-Radiation.

I just finished watching this film, first time I'd ever seen it. I really liked it! The story & the acting were all right, but the sets! The village! THAT stuff took my breath away! It's so gothic & atmospheric, what with the fog wisping by and the wet sidewalks... The dark & dusty dungeons... This film creates an atmosphere, along with some genuine scares. Very good film!

Trust me,

I remember this as one of the first horror movies I'd ever seen. I was about 8 yrs or so.. My God I had nightmares after that! Really would like to see it again to see what sort of impact it has on me know.

ps. not sure what made me think of this film out of the blue.

I thought the hideously mutated creatures in the greenhouse were quite scary and grotesque. Plus the strong sense of pure flesh-crawling dread and despair really gets under your skin.

I would still drop dead of fright if I saw Freida Jackson with her face covered with growths.

I watched it on late night tv when I was kid of 7/8 and it was scary at the time, not I would find it cheesy.
