Peckinpah DVDs

So far I have The Wild Bunch, Junior Bonner, Straw Dogs, Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia and I am awaiting the arrival of Major Dundee in the mail. Does anyone have any idea of other existing Peckinpah dvds I should purchase?? Any help would be appreciated.

I heard the 2-disc special edition of The Osterman Weekend is a pretty good buy. It includes commentary from the Peckinpah biographers, new interviews with the cast and crew, and a rough cut of the film used for test audiences. Cross of Iron, The Killer Elite and The Deadly Companions are the only other films that I know exist in crappy DVDs.

Also, I hope the DVD of Straw Dogs you own is from the Criterion Collection.

In case you are all unaware, which I'm sure you aren't, Warner Bros. released a superb Peckinpah westerns box set. Each film is a Peckinpah must-see, and they all have excellent features (commentaries by those same dudes and documentaries).

There's Ride the High Country and The Ballad of Cable Hogue.

If you own a multi-region dvd-player all 14 Peckinpah films are now released in their original theatrical aspect ratio. Most of them good transfers. One or two not so good: Killer Elite (non-anamorphic. Best: Peckinpah western box, Criterion Straw Dogs, Major Dundee, Osterman Weekend (Anchor Bay).

The new Warner DVD of The Getaway is great, I'd definitely recommend that as well as the now hard to find Criterion version of Straw Dogs (Do NOT settle for the MGM version, go the extra mile for the Criterion, it's worth it)

Pat Garrett's been out for some time now. My favorite.
