When is the USA Studio DVD to be released?

Is this film soon to be released on an official MGM release by Warner Bros. in Region 1 (USA) anytime soon? Isn't it their property? I've been looking for this a long time as a big fan of movie star actor Rod Taylor, and I had to laugh as Aussie Rod went from being an Irishman in YOUNG CASSIDY (MGM,1965), to being a Scotsman in this film! The film has a special feel for me also, having first seen it at the Crest Theater in Long Beach on its USA premiere engagement in 1966. I hope they also release Rod Taylor's classic YOUNG CASSIDY (MGM,1965) sometime soon also!

Can't find any information--seems like Jack Cardiff's films with Rod Taylor are cursed that way. Young Cassidy has never been on home video (remarkable when you look at the cast, and consider that it was John Ford's last project (though he didn't direct most of it), and neither has Dark of the Sun. At least The Liquidator was released in Europe--that's why TCM had a letterboxed print. Still only an old pan&scan for Young Cassidy. Must be some kind of legal snafu.

Thanks for the reply with your very correct information. I think the best source for an answer is the Warner Archive. I will write to them, they do give honest answers to requests for films on DVD.
