Is Tolen is smoking pot when...

he is standing outside the house (at 25:40), talking to Colin about Rory's "Slinky, Chinese girl"?
We see him from inside the house through a doorway as he talks to Colin. He blows smoke into the air and appears to be holding something in his right hand, all in a manner which suggests that he is trying to keep his pot smoke outside the house. He may just be acting as if he is getting high and only blowing frosty air. Nice touch either way.
I've seen this movie too many times.
