An odd one, though. In real life, he would have been leading at least a platoon or a company of men - not approaching an armed enemy P.O.W. camp singlehandedly. The Japs there hadn't surrendered yet (the gate guards still being armed and at their post), and he might well have been shot on sight.share
Odd to see him in a very serious role. I think both the US and the Brits did parachute individuals to i.d. the POW camps, followed by troops and medics as in this movie.share
No, most unlikely. And it's unrealistic that not a single officer would have approached him or responded to his attempts to speak to them. Not buying it.share
