Which is better..........

...........this or Stalag 17 in the sense that which one more adequately portrayed life in a POW camp. I realize that in Stalag it was a German one while in Rat it was a Japanese one. In my estimation, the Japanese were more cruel than the Germans in that the former were less observant of the Geneva Conventions while the Germans (usually regular Wehrmacht and not SS) at least tried to comply with them. In any case, I also remember Holden portraying a POW in Bridge of the River Kwai.
