Trivia error?

In the trivia section for this title it states the following:

This film wasn't released in the United States for five year because of the death of star Nick Adams. Adams had apparently committed suicide a few months after filming was completed and it was felt that it would inappropriate to release the film so soon after his death.

This can't be right. The film was released in Japan in 1965 and Adams didn't die until 1968. And I don't believe Adams committed suicide.

So, there must be another reason why this movie didn't turn up in the U.S. until 1970. Anybody know?

Most of the Godzilla films weren't released in the U.S. until years after the Japan release. That reason they gave in the trivia section is most likely BS.

Adams died of a prescription drug overdose. He started having issues with drinking. I don't know how you can argue with the trivia unless you have provided facts to the contrary.
