Mimieux and Chamberlain didn't get along

Reportedly, there was lots of tension on the set. On one occasion, a crying Mimieux refused to come out of her dressing room and shooting was called off for the day. The source for this is Tom Lisanti's book on Fantasy Femmes of 60s Cinema.

Hmm, interesting. They actually worked together on a two-part episode in the "Dr. Kildare" series, and they also attended public events together. In fact, in his
"Today Show" interview some years back, Chamberlain said that Mimieux was a someone that he cared deeply for.
