Yvettte Mimieux

The gorgeous Yvette Mimieux, crown princess of the MGM lot in the early 60's, was second billed to Richard Chamberlain and tis said she spread stories around Hollywood re his being gay. In these days can jeopardize a career in those days a killer. When you read Chamberlain's autobiography he has a pic of Mimieux at the Joy In The Morning preimiere just staring adoringly at RC.

her whiney, crying, blah blah blah mouth made this movie worse than it allready was....her character was perhaps the most annoying character I have ever seen in a classic film....I mean just cuz it was made in 65 doesnt make this drivel a classic....plus you can tell without a doubt that it is the 60's when they made this eventhough it is suppose to be the 20's....and what you said in the post above just reinforces how annoying and ridiculous this actress was....

Apparently you have never seen Joanne Dru as Tess Millay in Red River.

They worked together on a two-part episode of "Dr. Kildare" and they did attend social events together. In fact, Chamberlain stated in his "Today Show" interview a several years back that Yvette Mimieux was someone he cared deeply for.

I've only seen one source for this, an "Update" article published in 1990, but it should be pointed out that neither Chamberlain or Mimieux have ever talked publicly about these allegations. If you go to Ebay or Chamberlain's official website you'll find several candid photos taken during production and they seem very friendly. Who knows.
