Michael Keaton ripped off Shirley MacLaine (?!)

Did anyone notice that in the movie Beetle Juice, the title character (played by Michael Keaton) acts exactly like Shirley MacLaine in the scene where she's trying to avoid spending the night with the king? I didn't see this listed in the "Movie References" section, but it can't be a coincidence -- their performances are almost identical.
