Great Andre Previn Soundtrack !

Just listening to the fabulous stereo soundtrack, doubled with DEAD RINGER, another Previn favorite....very hard to find CD !

I simply adore the intro music, I never wanted it to end and The song "You're Gonna Hear From Me" is wonderful as is the lot of it. I didn't care for "Wacky World" too much but the rest of it just does something to me. I just listened to it over on youtube. I thought Dead Ringer sounded as tho they had used this. Now I know!

I understand that the CIA has decided to replace waterboarding as "interrogation enhancement" with repeated playings of "The Circus is a Wacky World". Play Previn's entire score and the baddies will lead you directly to Osama's cave.

Indeed, brilliant. The "show" tunes, "You're Gonna Hear From Me" and "Wacky World" are suitably horrible, but spot on. The rest of the soundtrack is both beautiful and apt. Previn's borrowing of a short passage from the Sea Interludes (Benjamin Britten's opera Peter Grimes) for the shot of the yacht in the stone harbour was inspired.
