What a mess

30's, 400's, 50's, 60's...the screen writers and producers seem unable to pick a decade to box this story into. Not a huge fan of Ms. Woods in the first place but between the awkward hair and dramatic Broadway-style line delivery she seems miscast. Robert Redford is why I'll watch for a little bit longer, just out of curiosity.

I couldn't agree more. That studio presentation promo film (where she dances among the stars) was something right out of the 1960s, not the 1930s. I tuned in right before and thought "What the heck is this?"

Agreed. I really wanted to like this movie. I've always been a fan of both Christopher Plummer and Robert Redford, and they are charismatic and beautiful as always in this story. But Natalie Wood overacts and is anything but believable. A hot mess, for sure.
