it was kind of corny. There were some funny lines. I can relate to the father/daugher drama.

Sweden was in the news at the time. So wasn't a more threatening R&R culture that was going to change the 60's (Frankie Avalon was soon to be a has been).

It's evident and kind of funny that Bob was trying to take advantage of the potential one-liners he could toss out there as a sort of voice of reason against an attack on social norms of the post-WW2 period.
