Directed by William Castle, who made a lot of gimmick films. Stars John Ireland, Joan Crawford, Leif Erickson, Andi Garrett, Sara Lane and Sharyl Locke. 1 hour 22 minutes, so plenty of time for Svengoolie's weekly antics.

Preceded by 2 hours of The Three Stooges short films, 6 pm- 8 PM ET, 5 PM-7 PM CT.

Did they remake this in 1988 as a TV movie with Shawnee Smith or are they different stories with just the same title?

Some people posted about that on this page 10 years ago. It sounds like a somewhat similar story with more experienced actors.

Svengoolie should show this at 8 PM Pacific time tonight.
