I think 20th Century Fox is remaking this, titled Fire and Water.

Well, they're not really remaking it, so much as they're using the same true story, and hopefully planning to do a better job with it. Heroes of Telemark was an O.K. movie for back in the 60s, but it's not that great. If you google fire and water there's some stuff about it I think. Who knows, maybe other studios are going to try a version too. I just saw in Entertainment Weekly that it was listed in their REMAKE THIS seciton. LOL.

I saw it a while ago, so maybe I need to watch it again. But the way I remember it, there were some good parts, but they strayed a lot from the true story - which would be fine if it was to add some action or tension - but in this case it was to get a woman more involved and some weird things like that. Great use of the actual locations though.

I sincerely hope that they dont. The original was best.
