At the beginning of the film Kirk Douglas takes up with a resistance fighter who gets him to England (the one that gives him the microfilm and takes over the ship and all that). Who plays the resistance fighter? It was a small role, but I liked the actor very much. I didn't catch the character's name though and I can't figure out which actor he was....

It is possible you are thinking of David Weston who played the character "Arne". He accompanied Richard Harris and Kirk Douglas to England. He was with Richard Harris when he handed over the information to Kirk Douglas. His part was small. (Well, smaller than Richard Harris I mean)
