Richard Harris and Kirk Douglas
I understand they didn't get along any better offscreen than they did onscreen!

shareRichard Harris was an irascible, hard-drinking Irishman and he seemed to have pointed things to say about all the American superstars he played up against in the Sixties, including Charlton Heston, Marlon Brando... Don't know about Robert Mitchum, because they might have had a good time drinking each other under the table and having a good, knock-down fist fight.
shareI definitely see what you mean especially after watching how he and Charlton Heston got along in "Major Dundee."
shareAll this might be true, but a film with Richard Harris in it is always worth viewing. Great actor on so many levels.
