Was this ever released in theaters anywhere?
Was HERCULES AND THE PRINCESS OF TROY shown in theaters in the U.S. or did it get sold to TV syndication right away? Did it get shown in theaters anywhere else in the world?

As mentioned in the trivia, it was a made-for-TV movie intended (somewhat obviously) as a pilot for a TV series -- which, however, never materialized. (Regrettably -- I for one thought it had promise.) Whether the pilot ever saw any theatrical release anywhere in the world I don't know. Meanwhile, apparently, it is available to stream at Amazon.com for $2.99. It may possibly be available free somewhere on line, also.
