Carol Lynley

Miss Lynley was saddled with a competing and higher budget film re the great Jean Harlow from Paramount starring Carol Baker. They both failed.

I always felt that Kim Novak would have been the best of all Harlow's but Kim
smartly declined the Paramount pic lead; there was only one Harlow and tough for anyone to portray such a unique star.

I first saw this back in the mid-1960s - I've just never been able to warm to Carol Lynley in anything for some reason, even (or perhaps especially) her voice. She's in a third-season episode of Alfred Hitchcock Presents (recently released on DVD) and after about 2 minutes I put it aside to be watched when I'd finished watching the season.
