Do they sing Bringing in the Sheaves ?

Hi -

Today at work someone mentioned the old religious song "Bringing In The Sheaves" and for the first time in many years I suddenly thought of an old comedy film I saw on TV years ago (in the 1970's) that featured a group of temperance (anti-alcohol) people singing that song at different times in the film. After lots of googling, this seems like it could the film, but I could not find an online reference to that song being used in this film.

btw, if that song is not used in Hallelujah Trail, any other ideas what other film I might be thinking of? It was probably a film from the 1960's and was set in either a western or small town.

Thanks!

It's not this movie. The ladies here use "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" for their theme.

It might have been one of the numerous Made-for-TV western spoofs of the 70s. It's going to drive me crazy trying to come up with it. Thanks a lot!

The Salvation Army Band in "North to Alaska" sang it. It's towards the end of the movie, during the fight scene. I love that old hymn, but hearing it in this movie just grates on my nerves.

Wikipedia lists all the movies/tv shows in which this hymn has been used.
