It is a question of big debate in india whether indian movies are at par with the international cinema or not...
indian movies somehow not considered to be in somewhat the same genre as hollywood specially the popular indian musical movies,but since indian film industry is the largest movie producing country in the world there are movies that stand out & have their own impact on the mind & hearts of cinems lovers around the globe,since IMDB 250 is probably the most authentic source of THE BEST OF THE WORLD CINEMA a choosen millions of cinema viewers around the world
which indian movie(S) do you think should be in the TOP 250?????????????
my choices from the movies which i have seen are

GUIDE(1965)
DROH KAAL(1994)

I reaaly dont believe that the top 250 of IMDB is the most authentic source of the best of the world cinema. It clearly has the influence of the States people where it is used the most and reviewed the most.
For me a lot of Indian movies can be among top 250...
some of them being

Pather Panchali
Guide
Lagaan
Salaam Bombay
Pakizaah
and a lot others....

Yep.. imdb top 250 is not the most authentic

... i feel the films will be in in best 250 ever

apu trilogy
meghe dhaka tara
pyaasa

and by imdb standards

lagaan and satya shld be in top 250

You would seriously put Khosla Ka Ghosla in the top 250 world films?

I might give it a place in the top 250 Indian movies. Maybe.
