No Scourging Scene???
Just watched TGSET on tv, a few days ago, and just wondering if there ever was a scourging scene? I'm pretty sure there was, as I've seen this film a few times before on tv, over the years.
shareI saw it in its first run and I don't recall a scourging scene. Otoh, aren't there slant-wise scourge marks on the back of his robe when he's before Pilate? If so, that may have satisfied me as evidence that the scourging had taken place, maybe in a deleted scene...
shareHard to say since he wears a red cloak on the back, which gets removed at Via Dolorosa. The only place I can see the scourging happening is after Herod and before the crowning. Note his robes get more bedraggled. It appears the whipping might have been done with Jesus fully clothed (Like the Brian Deacon and Jeremy Sisto JESUS) instead of stripped down to the loincloth.
