This is one of my all time favortites. If anyone can please respond when (if ever) this classic will appear on the wide screen near the Southern California area. I know at least a dozen people that would love to see it in a theater.

I've often wondered who they would cast as professor fate if they re-did the movie, who could match up to jack lemmon?

this is a movie which polarises opinions but I'm with you on this -its terrific.
No one else but Jack Lemmon/Tony Curtis could have done it. Remakes are rarely satisfactory.
A CURSE upon the Camera Lens of any Director who even thinks of Remaking this Classic. Would love to see this on the Big Screen again I have a very Dim Memorey of seeing this as a Kid Would love to see it again now as an Adult Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis and Peter Faulk are My Movie Icons.
But to go aginst what I just said if Blake Edwards ever wanted to do this Maybe with Robin Williams in the Jack Lemmon Role and Jim Carry in the Tony Curtis Roll... BUT PLEASE Mr EDWARDS DON"T REMAKE THIS MOVIE PLEASE.
