Horrible color on the 1997 MGM VHS release
It was borderline unwatchable.
Everything looked like it was shot through a red filter. The scuzzy bar scenes were deep red. Everyone's skin tones were slightly less red.
Is the DVD any less offensive?
I think the DVD looks fine. I did not notice the horrible quality you are talking about with the 1997 VHS release.
