Backordered everywhere

This DVD must be pretty popular because everywhere you go on the Web it's backordered and the only way to get it is through private sellers. I attempted to order it online yesterday and it wasn't available anywhere outside of private sellers. So, I ordered it from a private seller.

Could it be that this is out of print already, that the vulture speculators have been stockpiling this since last July when it was released in the hopes of selling it for $100-plus-per-copy on ebay like Universal's Classic Sci-Fi Ultimate collections?
