Double Feature DVD

Didn't I recently read that a company was planning to release this to DVD on a double bill with WAR OF THE GARGANTUAS?

reply

i have not heard of that but i hope it has the english dubbed language on it

reply

Hopefully they use the original English dub. Recently picked up the new DVD release of THE MYSTERIANS. Great-looking transfer, but the new English language dub left something to be desired.

Well, Bob...
here we are, over 5 months after your post and I'm catching it (again) on AMC's monsterfest. Still no DVD release. I've still got my passable bootleg in Japanese language and english subtitles. I always find it bizarre to hear Nick Adams over-dubbed with Japanese.
For a real thrill, I can still watch my Super-8 digest reel in black and white.
I also have a 25 minute 16mm digest reel that I bought years ago on e-bay.
Way too much effort for such a silly film, but I'd buy a remastered dvd, if it's ever released...

In the meantime I also have a laser-disk of War of the Gargantuas ;}

Hello and greetings from eight years in the future. "Frankenstein Conquers The World" did finally get its own Dvd release but not on a double bill disc like you hoped. For some strange reason they decided to release "War Of The Gargantuas" with "Rodan".

reply

Actually both films are made dual disc, but they had both Japanese and American versions.
