I've waited for nearly 8 years to see this movie...

And, although I hate to admit it, I was really disappointed. The plot was anything but solid (seemed like it was made up as it went along)and the characters were unlikeable. The crimes the 3 girls committed were unbalanced by their motives. It almost seemed as though this movie was just a sorry excuse to have have 3 scantily clad women beating the crap out of men. Very little substance.

If there are any positives, I would say the cinamatography was good. The dialogue was quite entertaining during some points (Tarantino-ish: you can tell he was inspired by this movie, especially in Kill Bill). But those two reasons alone don't save the sorry plot or make me think that this movie is anything special. I may be in the minority, but I have no tolerance for simple storylines with glaringly obvious plotholes.

I was so disappointed by this movie, but even more disappointed because of how much I looked forward to finally seeing it. I just don't get why this movie gets the praise it does from cult movie aficionados.

Could have been great, but ends up being mediocre.

Great cinematography + great dialogue + 3 scantily clad women beating the crap out of men + iconic performances = Cult Film Perfection.

In response to the first poster: the plot feels as if it was made up as it was being shot because it was.

Great film with the only problem being no real nudity and im sorry to sound like a pig but considering its a Russ Meyer film and it also happend to have the three best looking women he's ever used I was a little dissapointed with that.

reply

if you were disapointed it's probably because you put it up on a pedistal for 8 years thinking its a masterpeice, theres a reason its such a cult film, and when you think of it in that context it is a masterpiece

I thought the movie was alright. I came in not expecting a whole lot, and it turned out to be just what I expected. There were some really funny parts (that big guy had some good scenes), but two of the three girls were incredibly ugly (and I mean INCREDIBLY), which kind of makes me squeamish when watching.

It was filmed nicely though, but the script needed a lot of work.

Hmm, I thought they were all pretty fine actually.

By any objective standards this is a low-budget exploitation flick with a daft plot and acting that could most charitably be described as cartoonish. (Actually Stuart Lancaster as the dirty old man probably gave the best performance.) On the other hand it's spirited, humorous, and ahead of its time in its own trashy way, and Meyer's films were always well photographed if nothing else. 6/10.

Dude, I'm sorry, but I just fell off my chair laughing at your comment. Do you even know who Russ Meyer is? I'm sure you don't, because if you did, you'd never watch any of his movies and think that he needed an "excuse" to show scantily clad women in a movie.

Please read his Wikipedia profile:

Once you do, you'll know why I'm laughing my head off right now. :D

One more thing... after you've read the Russ Meyer page at Wikipedia, please read the page on Exploitation/Grindhouse films:

...and never again darken this board with such nonsense (disappointment at not finding substance in an exploitation film) before you've done your research. :D

I thought that the young chicks in Mudhoney were hotter than in this one but maybe that's because they bared their goodies :) FPKK is still the better film.

Busty chicks, bad acting, cheesy story. Ah, the perfect cult classic from the 60's.

I loved the plot. It was as though you learn more and mroe about the characters in the film as you go along, like a mystery. I would love to know what you think of as a good film.
