This was a made-for-television film?

I never realized this was a made-for-television film. There were so few made-
for-television films in 1965. (There were not even that many until about
1969.)

This film was not listed in the American Film Insititute Catalogue (Volume #6)
as a theatrical film, nor in The Motion Picture Guide, two of the most
definitive works cataloging theatrical motion pictures.

I did not see it listed in the Alvin H. Marill "Movies Made For Television"
either, the most definitive reference for made-for-television films that
I have seen.

Does anyone remember when this was originally shown on network television?
On what network?

Perhaps meant to be shown initially on local TV in LA(big market in and of itself), although that could be a career killer!

This was never shown on network TV. American International hired Larry Buchanan to remake a bunch of their films as cheaply as possible. AIP wanted to have more films to add to their TV syndication packages. The earliest known showing of EYE CREATURES is October 1967. I believe I first saw it in 1968.
