Why is Dracula supposedly evil?

He feeds on his food.
I don t think he can do otherwise.
He has no choice. He is not overkilling.
What makes him evil?

reply

That's true. He has to feed to exist. I suppose the grey area is his actually turning other people into vampires. The mythology seems subject to writer's whim, but it's often said that vampires can choose not to 'turn' their victims by not letting the bite kill them. Maybe he's just lonely and wants some companionship.

Not to mention that many, starting with Lestat, would ague that vampirism is a gift, not a curse.

Killing people is an evil act. Plus Dracula is the son of the devil. Is that not evil enough for you?
