I watched this movie (Doctor Zhivago) last night an I really liked it! The cast was great: Geraldine Chaplin, Julie Christie, Tom Courtinay, Alec Guinness, Siboan McKenna, Ralph Richardson, Omar Shariff, Rod Steiger,, Rita Tushingham and the rest of the cast were great! I especially liked the last scene where Alec Guiness stands on a porch and says "Then it's a gift!" I highly recommend this movie!
I have the soundtrack LP. It is amazing music.
The movie is very good too, although I have a problem with Geraldine Chaplin. She looks too much like her father in any movie I see her in, and it sort of breaks the illusion.
Dr. zhivago is probably the last of the truly great Hollywood epic films.
I have always really liked this movie. I had it on VHS and now have it on DVD. I have the original soundtrack on vinyl from when it was first released. I'm not quite that old, it belonged to my mom.
