"There Will Be No More Peaceful Demonstrations!" Doubt There Ever Was

Love this movie, but I don't believe that there was a peaceful little marching band that...

Ok wait... I DO believe that that massacre could happen, but I find it impossible to fathom that a group that could be so violent and cutthroat, and wind up imprisoning an entire country when they promised to free it...

I doubt that any sort of peaceful march would have been necessary given their end result wouldn't warrant these means, as it were. Why would a Revolution that could only kill and overthrow begin peacefully? Were they simply trying to nicely, politely get people together for then to cut everyone's throats?

Sorry, don't buy that scene's aftermath, with the skinny spectacled angry zealot saying "No more peaceful demonstrations" because I don't see how they'd accomplish their very bloody goal in that fashion.

Also, I don't think this kid would be so powerful, so soon, to be able to make a "call" or prediction that they would no longer march in peace. He was but a cog in the wheel.. He wasn't an important god to the peasants yet.

It all blows me away. That anyone buys Communism as anything more than Fascism with the Government acting as the Dictator.
