The Puppy that Brigitte gives as a gift, does anyone know what kind of dog it is. I am looking to get me a small dog, & it looks so cute. It's a good movie, I watched the movie with my mom in 2006...I don't remember seeing the movie before that. I've lost my mom since, seeing it just now brought back a precious memory with her.

Those are not Border Collies ... they're obviously Poodles.
shareThey're definitely poodles. That was the era of the poodle. Every girl I knew, including me, had one or more poodle skirts. Also, there was a haircut called The Poodle Cut.
Poodles were featured in a number of movies in that time period, including "Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?" (1957) and "Wild and Wonderful" (1964), which has a dog named Cognac who is a troublesome TV star.
