Jimmy Stewart addressing class about scientists taking over

Jimmy Stewart's monologue as he is addressing his class about how in 5 years there will be a machine that will "smoke a ham in 20 minutes (microwave) ... Or a whopper that will put men out of work by 5pm."
I wonder if the 80's movie, War Games, paid 'homage' to this movie by naming the huge war machine at NORAD the WOPR?
...just a thought
