whereabouts on the Thames was the ramshackle little cottage they were looking at? (Prime real estate today, that's for sure.)
shareThey're standing in Strand on the Green, Chiswick, framed by the Kew Railway Bridge in the background. And yes, those little "cottages of distinction" in the area cost millions now.
