Other H.G. Lewis masterpieces
People tend to down Color Me Blood Red as one of his worst films, but it still has merit. The idea of using blood to create art is one of his better plot foundations. He, like most directors, was exploring with his "talent", that's all. With She Devils on Wheels, he tried to cash in on the "sexy, biker chick flick" fad that was popular at the time. He made us laugh with the a strange combo of gore and comedy with "Gruesome Twosome" and he actually instilled genuine horror with "The Wizard of Gore". Sure his movies have bad acting, wooden dialogue, cheap sets, nonsensical characters, bad sound quality... just to name a few. But y'know what? That's why we love them!!!
