What kind of dance was it?

Are you talking about the square dance? The one where Jackson compares it to an Indian war dance? Yeah, square dancing is hard. People underestimate it, but it's very physically demanding.

Hard to learn, but fun! Unless you get someone in your group who has no sense of rhythm. Then it can be pure misery, if you don't have a really keen sense of humor.

Square dancing is not easy to do at all but once you learn it is great fun. There are two basics to square dancing: The dancers and the caller. The dancers have to be ready to dance whatever the caller calls. The caller keeps the rhythm going and must be careful not to throw off yhe dancers.
