I first saw this movie when I was a little kid but it quickly became a tradition where every summer we saw this at the drive-in movies. As soon as I hit my pre-teens I started noticing how cute Jackson was and I always wished that Cat would pick Jackson.

Just finished watching it again after many years and I have to admit I still think Jackson is a cutie. He looks a lot like Bobby Sherman. Even if he is rocking the 1960's version of the Justin Beiber hair style!!

Yeah, I had a crush on him when I was a teen. And, yes, I wished Cat would pick him. I never understood why she had a thing for Clay instead.

I thought Jackson was cute too. But I think Cat grew up with him on the farm. So he is more like a brother to her than a possible beau.

Cat didn't grow up with Jackson; he was new since she went away to school. But he was cute.

She might have thought he was too young for her. This was 1894 and he says he was a little baby when his tribe massacred Custer, which was 1876. So he was only about 19.
