BUNNY vs. THE FORGOTTEN vs. FLIGHTPLAN

Any thoughts as to the similarities, differences, and to which you think is a better moive?

Interestingly, the trailer for "The Forgotten" is included on the "Bunny" DVD. Talk about inviting comparisons!

Bunny was interesting
I enjoyed The Forgotten
I had to pause Flightplan in order to properly & extensively mock and jeer it

Another film that has this same premise- feels like the SAME MOVIE...

is "Dangerous Crossing" (1953)

reply

Jodie Foster was great in Flightplan! Loved the editing of it too.

You might also notice the the opening credits for Bunny was comprised of the "ripping the wallpaper" sequences that was used in The Forgotten, which plays a major reveal in the latter.

Ugh, The Forgotten and Flightplan were awful. Bunny Lake Is Missing, on the other hand, is a near masterpiece!

"Flightplan" was a decent thriller, but "The Forgotten" started out strong but became increasingly forgettable with its gimmicky plot twists at the end. "Bunny" is by far the superior of the three in my opinion.

reply

I hated Forgotten, but I enjoyed Flightplan and Bunny.

FLIGHTPLAN borrows the missing person of debatable existance from BUNNY and the plot device of the window drawing from THE LADY VANISHES, from which BUNNY also borrows. BUNNY LAKE is an excellent thriller, so I don't mind a little borrowing. I really like Olivier, I really like Saul Bass titles, and I really like that I could watch Keir Dullea and Carol Lynley in something other than 2001 and POSEIDON ADVENTURE respectively. What really bothers me about FLIGHTPLAN, and those of you who travel extensively will understand, is that overnight Trans-Atlantic flights go east, not west.

Another great movie along the same lines is "so long at the fair".
