Beautiful & Brilliant

Visually, Le Bonheur is beautiful. The colors are bold and scenes artistic. It's a celebration of Technicolor meets French New Wave.
Loved the soundtrack: Mozart and French music. Here's an interesting article on Varda's use of Mozart in the film: http://celluloidwickerman.com/2014/06/09/mozart-in-le-bonheur-1965-agn es-varda/.
Now, to the story. My reaction to the story of Le Bonheur was similar to that of "The Swimmer" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0063663/?ref_=nv_sr_1: Shock at the banality of hubris and the juxtaposition of horror & beauty.
Le Bonheur is visually & aurally sumptuous, but, oh là là, watch out for François!!
